Orange, Pale Apricot & Gold Gothic Nouveau

This is a large one-of-a-kind hand stitched silk lampshade in shades of peachy orange, pale apricot & gold. It’s made with floral embroidered silk salvaged from a vintage piano shawl and metallic gold netting layered over a pale apricot silk charmeuse. It’s trimmed with metallic gold braid trim and intricately knotted orange fringe from the same shawl layered over hand-dyed pale apricot rayon fringe.

This lampshade is made with a spider fitter and is appropriate for a floor lamp or a very large table lamp. It’s pictured here on an antique floor lamp with an 11” harp. I recommend you use an LED with this lampshade to keep the silk in its best condition long-term. I use 40 watt equivalent warm white LED bulbs.
