Cherry Red & Burgundy “Flapper”

This is a large one-of-a-kind hand stitched silk lampshade in shades of vibrant red and deep burgundy. It’s made with two burgundy laces and burgundy pleated chiffon layered over red silk charmeuse base. The red silk is a bit deeper and more of a fire engine red than it appears in these photos, which make it appear more orangey. It’s trimmed with red 6” silk rayon fringe, burgundy 8” rayon fringe and burgundy braid trim.

This lampshade is made with a spider fitter and is appropriate for a floor lamp or a very large table lamp. It’s pictured here on an antique floor lamp with two bulbs. I recommend you use an LED with this lampshade to keep the silk in its best condition long-term. I use 40 watt equivalent warm white LED bulbs.
