Rainbow Gradient Stacked Lantern Lampshade

This is a medium sized one-of-a-kind lampshade featuring a rainbow gradient on a unique stacked lantern frame. It’s made with two styles of metallic gold French lace layered over hand-dyed silk in a gradient of deep indigo, lilac, yellow, amber, orange, and deep red. It’s trimmed with custom dyed tassels of varying lengths in shades of yellow, orange and deep red along with metallic gold braid trim.

This lampshade is made with a spider fitter and is appropriate for a medium to large-sized table lamp or a smaller floor lamp. It’s pictured here on a 29" (including harp but not finial) antique table lamp including an 11" harp. I recommend a harp 11-12" tall for this particular lampshade so that the shadows made by each layer are balanced. I recommend you use an LED with this lampshade to keep the silk in its best condition long-term. I use 40 watt equivalent warm white LED bulbs.
