This is a one-of-a-kind hand stitched lampshade inspired by Pre-Raphaelite art. It’s made with black floral lace layered over light green silk charmeuse, black point d'esprit netting layered over pale pink silk charmeuse, and green silk velvet, all framing John William Waterhouse's famous painting "The Soul of the Rose" (1908). This painting was applied using the Victorian "sugar shade" technique which involves an adhered layer of glass microbeads to create a sugar-like finish. Its trimmed with black braid trim and a unique beaded fringe in shades of red, black, pink, orange and green.

This lampshade is made with a spider fitter and is appropriate for a medium-height table lamp. It’s pictured here on a 25” tall table lamp with an 8” harp. This listing is for the LAMPSHADE ONLY, but message me and I can give you some guidance on finding an appropriate lamp to pair with your new lampshade.

Dimensions:

13” tall + 5" beaded fringe

12" x 8" wide

I recommend you use an LED or low heat bulb with this lampshade to keep the silk in its best condition long-term. I use warm white LED bulbs.
